Stop and Go Lights

The Tri Lite “Stop and Go” Loading Dock Traffic Light, or loading dock signal, is a safety signaling device that can help alert truck drivers and loading dock personnel to the status of docked or docking trucks. They can also be used as signal lights in a variety of applications including parking lots and lift gates, inspection lanes, access to secured areas or buildings, car washes, drive-up windows, and as a starting signal for water slides or motor raceways. “Stop & Go” Traffic Lights are available with standard incandescent lamps or long-lasting LEDs.

Note: All incandescent Stop and Go traffic lights must flash to prevent lens from warping. It is not necessary for LED lights to flash.

How Stop & Go Light Sets Work

When a truck is parked securely in the loading dock, the inside Stop and Go light is turned green. This indicates to the forklift driver that it is safe to enter the trailer. When the green light is on inside the building, the outside Stop and Go light is red, indicating that the truck should not move. Once the truck is unloaded, the inside light is turned to red. This tells the forklift driver to stay away from the truck. Simultaneously, the outside light is turned green, indicating it is now safe for the truck to pull away.
